I think we all want to experience freedom in depths of our souls. And if we’re honest, we don’t always feel that way. Sometimes we feel restless or overwhelmed. We struggle to have peace and understand our purpose.
We all want to feel that we are doing life right and doing enough. And I’m guessing that you might feel like I do sometimes . . . not enough.
Let me tell you something, you are not alone.
I see you running around, taking your kids to all of their activities and planning those last minute meals (or sitting in the Chick-fil-a drive thru). I see you folding the clothes for the bajillionth time and picking up all that trash in the back of your minivan. I see you crying in your chair in exhaustion at the end of the day, wondering if all that you do is worth it.
I see you worried about your marriage, your children or your singleness. I see you anxious about your job and the bills that keep piling up. I see you feeling guilty that you failed again at your diet, plans to spend time with your kids and the expectation you placed on yourself to do all of the things. . . just like your perfect Facebook friend.
I see you.
And so does the One who made you and puts breath in your lungs.
There is a way that leads to complete freedom, a way that requires gritty faith and reckless surrender. But a place you can be fully known, accepted at your worst and loved unconditionally. There is a place you can struggle well.
There is the way that leads to rest for the exhausted soul, peace for the restless and purpose for the wavering.
Join me as we journey together along the Way of Jesus.
We are going to chat and laugh and cry together as we discover how this faith intersects with the messiness of life, motherhood, parenting and purpose. We are going to learn and grow together as we seek guidance and healing from the truth of the Word of God.
He promises freedom for the captives, healing for the brokenhearted, care for the needy, beauty for ashes and everlasting joy.
